Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to AS Media Studies!

We are very excited to be following a new brief this year of an opening sequence to a film genre of your choice. Hope you don't find blogger too annoying everyone masters it in the end and it's how we send all your work to the examiners.

Miss Shuttle and Miss Brookes are always at hand to help so don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck in all your A level choices.

5th October 2012

Hello year 12s and sorry for this last minute change to plans. I have two kids in primary school and they have their open door afternoon for me to go and see their work. I would cry if I wasn't there. Today will be blog day we will deal with filming and editing prelim tasks next week. This is what I have seen so far. Some of you are not keeping up with your blogs and some of you are not reflecting enough on what the tasks and theories are teaching you and how you will implement your learning into the final task. Look through your posts and reflect/amend/evaluate in order to ensure you get the highest level 4 marks for planning and research. 16-20 marks is B+ to A*. For those of you who were on the roadrunner day out - you are to produce your planning, ideas and storyboard, prelim task and evaluation of prelim task on a prezi. I would like you to embrace this technology www.prezi.com and make your presentation as interesting as possible. I would also like you to embed images and video. Shots you've taken, youtube clips of your assigned genre etc. DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE THE SHOTS YOU'VE NEEDED TO FILM THEY ARE ON THE PRELIM TASK LINK. Some of you have not planned well enough, this should serve you well in learning for the real task. One group went filming with no list of shots! HAVE A FABULOUS WEEKEND - AS ALWAYS ANY QUERIES, CONCERNS OR BREAKDOWNS EMAIL ME AT: brookes@bchs.essex.sch.uk
